After awhile of searching for this Japanese medaka, I finally obtained 13 medakas from private breeder as I was so happy that I finally got them. Right now the medaka are in 10 gal tank with bluefin killies as their home till the summer where the medakas will live in the plastic tub along with the bluefins too. I have two different colors of medaka: grey and gold. Hopefully the medakas will do a little breeding for me soon.

Het Butch that took a bit of time didn't it......
Glad you found them in the end. Local Breeder was it?

Well my breeder lives western United States and I lives in Minnesota. So yeah it took me forever to find them. Through the science lab catalog has them but very expensive as they have only gold type. I've seen different species of Oryzias that offered for sale such as javanese, dwarf and blue eyes but decided to not buy them.

keep the two different colours seperate otherwise they will cross breed and you will end up with the green/grey form.
The yellow form is the mutant colour form and will only stay yellow if it is not diluted with the original green form.

The blue killifish will probably eat the medaka fry.
