algae scraper ( all that ammonia has fed the algae!)

big bottle of seachem prime
big bottle of flourish excel

and 60 kg of limpopo black sand

heres the tank as it looks now ( and has done for the last month since stripdown) a very sorry looking state indeed

have to say im well impressed with warehouse aquatics so far . ordered loads of stuff from them today and about a couple of hours later had an email saying it had been processed , packed and dispatched

Yeah Ive always had good service from them too. You will likely get an email in the morning with a tracking number for the courier (assuming its coming via courier) I usually do and it gives an estimated time of delivery and its always been bang on time!

yep they said next day delivery cos i ordered before 3pm . ammonia processiong has slowed down a lot now tho as to be honest i got sick of waiting and started slacking with the dosing . so when the extra filter comes im gonna seed it with all the sponges from the internal filter and some media from the external and run them both for a bit with 5ppm , then once thats up to speed il order the plants , then it will be a total stripdown ,substrate and sand in ,plant ,refill and then it will be stocked

mark mate you have waited this long wouldnt you rather start fresh new cycle mate means water clarity will be amazing clean everything down ready for the new white cloud minnows

theres no need to really mate. the existing external is still easily processing enough ammonia and nitrite to cope with moderate to average stocking levels . i just wanna get the 2nd filter seeded and then run it alongside the existing 1 and keep dosing to get the bacteria established so i get more stable filtration ,
