Finally After All This Waiting!

So pleased its underway, a friend of a friend breeds discus, been to see his set up, amazing looking fish, he has hundreds of them. Looking forward to pics even if they are crappy lol.

nah mate probaly not , just the 2 externals i rekon

will probably be a week or 2 before theres any pics worth posting , im hoping to get my mate to do some pics for me with his dslr , no point posting pics of an empty tank so il do pics once its set up and planted , then fish pics as its stocked .

everything arrived this morning , filter is seeded and both are now running . im still dosing 5ppm to cycle the new filter . i have to say im very impressed with the flow from the 2217 , it knocks spots off my 2028

Yep they are good filters, got 5 running now on various tanks, if its a little noisy (some are to start with) dont worry once all the air is expelled it will go quiet

either i did a very good job setting it up or i got lucky cos mine was silent from the minute i plugged it in , if i had 1 little gripe tho i would of liked the pipes to be a bit longer , i did just about have enough hose to work with but an extra foot would of made life much easier . still if thats the only problem i have with it i wont be complaining .

im setting up my 55g discus tank soon too.

thats cool. i think i want to try to breed my reflection-D's maybe but i dont know i think it would be alot of work.

yep i cnt wait . ive been wanting to do this for ages . just gotta wait for my sand to arrive then i can order my plants , get it all planted and then il start stocking it .
