Fin Rot!

I did a stupid thing and bought three beautiful guppies from PaH. The two girls are fine but the boy, when I got him home, wasn't the one I'd picked, what I got instead was a boy with mouth rot and fin rot! I'v been treating the tank with Melafix for 3days now and whilst the mouth rot seems to be improving his fin rot is much worse. I know I should have taken him back but I felt sorry for him so I thought I'd try healing him myself. My question is what can I do to help him, his tail is looking really sore and bloody now and the Melafix doesn't seem to be doing anything.
I know there are probably loads of threads dealing with this but I can't find any here so sorry for asking but I need advice on this please.

It's ok, I'v found some and ordered it. Would like to know how effective it is, has anyone had any success with this treatment?

i have before..although its a tad stubborn this time...plenty of water changes , so they have lovely clean water to heal in!

Can you still do water changes whilst treating it? I thought I read somewhere not to do a water change 'till the medication period was finished (7 days)




I'v just noticed, your cat has tabby whiskers! I have never seen that before!
