Hi,

I'm looking for some help on parts to order for my tank. I have a Fluval Vicenza 180 tank running with both a 305 external filter and a Fluval U4 internal filter. I'm looking to downgrade to just the U4, and I know it'll manage the capacity, I'm just not sure which parts I need to order to plug the holes for the external filter? I've guessed at vicenza plug rings, but do I need caps as well?

Any help would be appreciated!
Kirsty :)

I apologise for not really answering your question (welcome to the forum btw!) but I think getting rid of the external is a really bad idea. External filters are generally far more effective at keeping your tank clean than internal filters are. If you have to get rid of one, then let it be the internal. It'll save you all the trouble of filling in holes as well. Plus the external is rated for higher litres than your internal which is better for the flow around your tank.

Thanks! I completely understand why it would be best to keep the external running, but my other half is insisting on moving the tank off the stand which would not allow an external filter. I am trying to persuade otherwise, but if I HAD to, are the plugs the correct part to order?
