Filters?

my fantastic partner has just got me a 7 and a half foot tank for me for xmas its about 650lt i was wondering a good filter that would do the whole tank?

something like a fluval fx5, tetratec ex1200, or one of the bigger eheims maybe, there is loads that would do, its just your preference i guess!

Lucky. I wish my husband would get me a 5 or 6 footer.

I like to run a good canister filter with a small hob power filter. If you have a good canister filter you don't need another but I like the waterfall for extra water movement.

at this size, i would highly suggest looking into a wet/dry sump filter. by far the most efficient and the best bang for your buck.
otherwise, a FX5 will do the trick.

You'd probably be better with 2 decent externals on a 7 ft tank.

If you dont have the finances for 2 externals then I'd recommend the fluval FX5, its a good price at £150 and it really is a beast of a filter

i have 2 fluuval 205s at the moment on my 2 smaller tanks would thease both running on the big one be enuff?

also if i used them both i could go stright from the 2 smaller ones to the big one with out the need to cycle as the 2 filters are running on meture tanks atm.
