i ahve a juwel tank and i keep having to buy the white filter pads as they keep getting clogged up with dirt. Is there any other cheaper alternatives to buying these? I was looking at poly filter by interpet and that is still quite expensive although not as expensive.

Thanks

Will

on ebay someone says them rather cheap
i think your supposed to change them every week?

you can buy a box of it from wilkinsons for like 79p or something. it looks like the same stuff you find stuffed in teddies.
its more for the tiny little bits that manage to slip through the sponges. i need some new wool actually!

ebay is really cheap i brought 50 for £5 i think cannot remember sellers name tho it was ages ago they did the job just as wel

would this be suitable for the juwel internal?

if i cut it into squares i would get 210 squares for the price of 12 juwel filter pads. seems like a bargain to me. What does the thickness do? Doe sit catch more particles? The stuff above is 2x thicker than the juwel pads

i think the seller also sells another that states it's for fluval's anyways yes that would be fine 2 use i use it myself and it's last a hell of alot longer than the pads normally brought he also does a 10 metre roll of slightly thinner stuff that would also work fine :)
