Filter Unplugged

We had a power cut last night so I checked my tanks to make sure all was fine and noticed one of my filters was not working. I had only pulled the plug out 2 days ago when doing something to the tank, so I quickly done a water test and luckily the water was fine with only a very small trace of nitrite in the water.
Do you think the bacteria will still be ok after it has been turned off for 2 days

it should be fine, it has been kept wet. The bactreia will soon re-group, thats if you've lost any at all. It won't hurt to do a water change though.

As long as the sponge is still damp and even better in the tank it will be absolutely fine

I reckon you may have lost 10-20% of your bacteria, but don't worry they will multiply and build the numbers back up in no time.

i agree with the two
above i used to get power
out for up to 48 hrs
with no ill effects
to the filters at all
and i used to run 7
ext and 7 int of
all different sorts
