Filter Too Powerful?

Hello everyone!

Just put a Stingray 5 in my Hexagon Betta tank and I was wondering if it's too powerful or not?
My Hex tank is 22 litres.
I have a Moby Dick 25 too thats 25 litres but Betta for that tank arrives Tuesday.
Filter on that one is built in with heater so I9 can't see how strong it is.

I've never tried one of those. I think the only way to see if its too strong is to judge it yourself. I know one of my bettas doesnt even like an airstone in his tank, while another seems to like playing in the current of a small filter. So it really comes down to that, and some common sense, if it looks like a blender filled with water and a fish it may be too strong lol.

I have a stingray 10 in a cycling tank and I found the current is surprisingly strong for a little filter and I wouldn't really want a betta in with it. I don't how different the stingray 5 is though. If the betta is already in the tank just spend some time watching him, seeing how he copes with it. You can stem the flow somewhat by placing plants in front of it or even strapping some foam over the outlet.

I have the same filter in our Black Moors tank and he hates the current

he doesn't seem too fussed.
I pushed head around so the filter goes against the glass not the water

Ill keep a eye on him
