Filter Sponge

Hi all
Just quick. My sponges in my filter in my betta tank are just starting to deteriorate, so will need changing soon. What I need to no is there are 3 sponges in it so I no will replace 1 at a time but roughly how long between replacing each one so don't lose the bacteria

Six to eight weeks is best; a month the absolute minimum.

I am surprised they're deteriorating that badly; I'd get a different make if I were you; I've got sponges that are 20+ years old and still in good shape.

Well maybe its just me then. Just when I rinse them they feel as if they going to tear but never do.

Maybe I being to carefully lol
