I have a 114Litre tank. dimenstions are 30inL X 12.5inW X 18.5inH (so 30 gallons according to the calculator) its currently stocked with 2 male 3 spot gourami (trading 1 male for female later today) 3 bamboo shrimp, 2 corydoras (getting a few more soon) and 2 tiger barbs (getting more soon) My tank has a AquaClear 70 power filter (with foam, carbon and biomax) from a tank my mom used to have (think it was a 50gal or so) is this filter to big for my tank?
also i have plastic plants in my tank to add some natural coverage for my gourami who like to hide in them, what can i do to keep the food out of the plants as none of my fish (except corys and shrimp) will eat food off things.
i'd like to keep the bigger filter in there if possible as im moving hopefully this summer and we plan on getting a bigger tank. but any advice given would be greatly appreaciated.
