i would like to have a BIG tank when i can afford it, i'm talking like about 10ftx4ftx6ft which would work out close to 7000 lt's or bigger if i have the room. but could you use a pond filter or would you have to use a few normal filters?

would there be any problems to look out for if this go a head? apart from a leak. lol

i kinda understand the way a sump works but how is it powered? i would like simulate a river type environment?

A tank that size will need a large pond pump or swimming pool pump to run the filtration. Sumps work by gravity taking water from the tank to the sump via pipework fixed into holes drilled into the tank, the water works its way through a series of chambers filled with media before a pump plumbed into the end of the sump returns it to the tank.
