please please stay away from useless chemicals LFS and major fish supply companies try to market...acurel should definetely not be one of the first, if any, options you go to

ok everyone, thanks for all the great advice.
the acurel worked pretty much right away, but i added a second filter just today, so im hoping that will function as a permanent fix until i can get a new canister filter
