What would be a good filter for a 100 gal?..and cheep
/www.bigalsonline.ca/BigAlsCA/ctl366...350bpowerfilterWhat about a second hand external filter? It would be more suitable for the tank, and at least you have a colony of bacteria building up... Maybe a ummm.... tetratec or someting to that effect?
/www.aquariumproducts.com.au/prod129.htmFiltration depends on the fish you plan on stocking the tank with.
However, I am going to overfilter slightly.

/www.bestfish.com/tips/032599.htmlI had know idea about anything like that and what you said hereHob filters are generally better at mechanical filtration, canisters are better at bio filtration, as long as they are a low flow canister for the media volume.
makes better sense now. Thanks for the info m8! I feel like adding those links to my sig.Filtration depends on the fish you plan on stocking the tank with.
