Filter For 150 Gallon Overflow Tank

Ill be getting a bigger tank down the road when they get bigger anyway but when I get the fx5 what will I have to do to switch them? will I hve to cycle the tank again? will my fish be safe

Just thought I'd throw a suggestion in for the Aquael Unimax 700, big filter with 2 inlets/outlets. Not let me down yet.

thanks for the recommendiation but I really like the fx5, but really need to know if I have to re cycle my tank when changing filters

As said before: if you run the new filter alongside the old ones for a while, or you put the media from your old filter in your new one, you will not have to cycle your tank again. Your fish will be save.

but I cant run them side by side with the overflow and the filter media from my tide pool wont fit in the fx5
