Filter Cartridge Question

So, I was poking around walmart the other day and I peeked inside a box of aquatech filter cartridges because the picture on the box looked mighty similar to the eclipse rite size Z cartridges that I use for my 3-gallon tank. I pulled one out, and it looks pretty much exactly the same to me, but they're significantly cheaper.

Does anyone know if the Aqua-Tech Hex 5 cartridges are indeed the same as the Marineland Rite Size Z cartridges? I've read that marineland manufactures the Aqua-Tech stuff, so if I can get the same filter cartridges for cheaper, I'm all for it... but I'd hate to lose money on a guess.

Don't lose any money on the wrong filter size. Next time you are rinsing out the cartridge from your filter, measure it before returning it to the filter. Then you can measure the one you have seen and know immediately if they are the same size. Since you probably only replace the cartridge every year or two, you have plenty of time to check it out.
