My filter has carbon in it. Will this suck out the liquid fertiliser I put in my tank?

It could do a bit, but it won't have an effect if you continue dosing the ferts.
Don't worry about it. :good:

Take the carbon out if you can. Its not doing you any good. Adding ferts will wear out the carbon fast. I don't run carbon in any of my tanks have not used it in years. My fish and plants are fine.

Keep it and it will be ok if you keep it but it's kind of just a waste.

I know it's not necessary, but I'm keeping it there as apparently it can act as quite a good surface for bacteria to grow on. Plus the cartridges have a fairly good mesh to filter particles, akin to the way a sponge does. I didn't want it to be removing useful stuff from my water though.

Carbon is a great media, leave it in there :good:

it'll be fine.
