Might want to do a thread in tropical disucssion about the salt meter as I have never used one.

Hi everyone
Im finally getting somewhere with my water i went to the LFS yesterday and bought one of those bag things that suck in the nitrite and some Stress Zyme and it appears to be working my stats are coming down. I also bought one of those salt meter things as i have just been adding a little salt everyday and i measured it today and it says it is at 1.004 but how can i be sure it is working?

If its sitting at 1.004 then that should be fine, leave it at that for a few weeks at least, this will allow the stats to stablise and also the bacteria to fully catch up

Shall i still carry on doing the 50% water changes as my stats are not yet perfect?

All you do is add the correct amount of salt back to the water removed.

Not sure on brackish tanks.
Would be better of asking in the brackish section of the forum.
Tropcial its a tea spoon to a gallon.
