Figure 8 Puffer Fish Help Please! :)

Hi there, i've seen the most GORGEOUS figure 8 puffer fish in my local aquarium shop, and have pretty much fallen in love! Anyway i have a 90 litre tank with 2 bolivian rams, 4 harlequin rasboras, 2 peppered corycats (which are pretty small!) and a plecostomus .... does the figure 8 puffer need salt? would my other fish not like the salt concentration? please help, i've fallen in love with their characters and little smiley faces and would like to know if its at all possible for me to have one! thankyou xxx

You'll need to get yourself another tank if you want a puffer; figure eights do need brackish water and they're quite aggressive and would soon make a meal out of your other fish!

Quite unfortunately, the Figure 8 does require brackish water. There's an informative write-up by penguinpimp1990 here.

Seems puffers are quite intolerable of most tankmates, so I really don't think it would be advisable to have one.
