fighting over a carrot…

back in the dark ages I trained a large pacu to eat whole carrots, like a rabbit…

Mrs. was making soup today, a dicing up a couple carrots, one piece fell on the floor in the kitchen… I rinsed it off, and plopped it into the silver dollar tank, and they all attacked it like piranha's on a wounded fish… I have been thinking about doing this for a while, but just haven’t gotten around to actually doing it, with them eating the pothos roots… looks like diced carrots are on the menu starting tomorrow… this is a mid sized tiger… there are bigger silver dollars in this tank, but this one is fastest…

carrots are very good for them, and help them keep their color, as they grow…

I would have though slightly cooked carrot was the way to go. Obviously, I was wrong!

I would guess blanched would be easier to eat , but raw more natural…
