Few Questions About Snakeheads . . .

im very keen on getting a pair off rainbow snakeheads cos i seen sum on youtube n they look awesome, very colorful and interesting 2 watch, htey are bright red the ones i want but 1st id like 2 know a few questions, any help will be great, if uve got them please let me know about them and any advice will be much appreciated, ive got a 4 foot tank butg can upgrade if neccesary... thanks in advance

ok so here goes . . .

can you buy rainbow snakeheads from any LFS in the UK ?? ( order them )

are rainbow snakeheads the most colourful type of snakehead cos ive seen sum beautiful bright red ones are they all like this or are they rare ??

are they always as colourful or do they get brighter as time goes by?? when theyre young arnt they as colourful ? i just dont want 2 buy the wrong ones

how much do they cost in the uk ??

does anyone know anywhere up north east area that sell them ? im from stockton on tees

how long do they live for??

im just getting excited as ive got my heart set on getting them, please let me know about any information about them or your past experiences.

I dont have any experience with them myself but you can order them from wildwoods as they usually have some in and deliver next day with APC overnight who are excellent!

Ive not seen wildwoods in the flesh but I know someone who had 6 and they looked great! Fun to watch eating aswell

yeah cool jonny, wot did they eat and how big was the tank?? where all 6 snakeheads red ???

Yeah I think so, not seen them for a while so not sure on the type. At the time they were about 3" and were being fed on frozen bloodworm cubes. It was a custom tank and was 93G.

hello mate, iam new to snakeheads aswell had mine only round two months, i have 3 channa ornatipinis
there great fish but these perticular drawf snakeheads are very aggressive and live at sub tropical temps.... hope this link works its got some great info on this wonderful species

its ok nelly nice fish

nelly can you buy them in LFS in the uk and how much are they and are they ok to keep with severums ? i very much doubt that like, and how big are they usually when you first buy them, also are most rainbow snakeheads bright red as i seen some bright red ones and they look brilliant, them are the ones i want, bright colourful red ones, are they popular or hard to get hold off??? thanks nelly
