Hi all, well my cycle completed on my 240l a couple of weeks ago, so it's now the home for 11 bleeding heart tetras and 6 (soon to be 10) Julii Corys.

However, before my 240l had fully cycled I had bought a 3" Festivum which I intended to go into the larger tank once cycled. It seems quite a peaceful and placid indivudal and there have been no problems between it and my 2 bolivian rams in the 125l.

Here's a picture of my Festivum, does anyone know if this is male/female and which particular species it may be?

Also, I've read that Festivums like to be in groups with their own kind, but I've also heard other people say that they are ok on their own.

So I'm unsure of what else to add to this tank. Whether to get a group of Festivums, or go for something like a Rotkeil Severum, although I'm struggling to find somewhere that sells these apart from online shops which I dont really want to do.

If it helps, heres a picture of the my new 240l

Thanks

They are found in groups in the wild. But you need to have 4 or more. I have one that lives with discus by himself. A severum would be a fine tank mate. But I hope you don't care about your plants. My Festivum eats it all and lots of it. If s planted tank is what you want sorry to say you picked the wrong fish. Severums are plant eating fish too.

Here is the work of my Festivum. When I got this plant it had no holes. A few days later it looked like this. I watched my Festivum rip it apart.
