Festivum, Again

Okay, My tank size is 60 gallons
I currently have 5 guppies along with 2 fry
3 dalmation mollies
2 dwarf gourami
1 algae eater
2 mystery snails
and 5 neon tetras

Im looking to add 2 German Blue Ram Cichlids also
so any help with other cichlids that go nicely with these fish would be great

- Right fish and tank size, great! 60 gallons is a nice sized tank so lots of options.

Few more questions though - what is the Algae Eater like? Is it a Common Plec or a Chinese Algae Eater or something else? (google the names) Most fish labeled as Algae Eater in a shop usually comes with problems in all honesty so let us know what kind of fish this is

Also how long has the tank been set up for?

I would go for Bolivian Rams rather than Germans as they are more community friendly - Blue Rams need higher temperatures and low ph than the other fish in your tank where as Bolivians are more flexable.

I would not go for the Festivums as you have the Livebearers and Gourami in the upper levels of the tank similarly to the Festivums. So conflict could happen.

If your going with a pair of Bolivian Rams for the bottom - quite a few options still, though to be honest the Guppies limit you a little - but something like Rainbow Cichlids or Blue Acaras could work in that tank.

Thanks for the advice on whole thread thing.
and sorry, ive become so used to calling the common plecos algae eaters
but they are common plecos. And thanks, ive heard also that Apistos are friendly and a good match from various other sites
is this true? Not sure of the specific types of apistos so if this is generally true what types are the best?
Also is it possible the rams or any cichlid for that matter to eat mystery snails?
I plan to feed the rams some shrimp from time to time.
And the tank isnt even running yet, im still wondering what fish to get and also live vs fake plants, once i have an idea ill then put together the tank best fitted for all my species.
