Would anyone be able to suggest a decent, cheapish fertiliser for my 64L?

I've got swords, crypts, pygmy chain sword, and a fair few others that i'm not altogether sure on.
I have 15W of light on for about 6-7 hours a day.

I don't want to be using seventy different bottles at a million pounds each either, so if someone could help me out it would be greatly appreciated.

Really? Everyone says you should use ferts!

Oh well im happy with that if youre sure!

 i know the feeling. lol. I too am interested in this. I have been using something called Florena by Sera i think and it seems to do ok. My Vallis is thriving like never before, but once this has run out i would like to try something different. This was given to me by a friend as he couldn't get on with it. I just add 3 or 4 drops every other day and it seems to work a treat.

florena doesnt contain nitrates or phospahates.. do you not need them for basic growth?!

Yes you need NPK and traces, fertilisers are as expensive as you choose to buy them, you could by dry salts and make your own for a fraction of the cost of buying an off the shelf solution.

Yeah i know thats what i was saying.

So are you saying I need NPK+Traces or dont..

Well if you're dosing you need the 3 Macros - NPK and micro's - Traces, but because of the relatively low lighting you have the fish will be providing adequate nutrients.

I'm with SS here. There are 3 factors which can limit your plants growth: nutrients, light and CO2. Seen as you have fairly low light and I'm presuming no CO2, these are going to be the factors limiting the plant growth and not the nutrients. If you were to up the lighting and CO2, then their growth may be limited by the nutrients, in which case you may want to look at fertilisers. However at the moment adding fertilisers probably isn't going to make a massive difference :)
