Females And Neon Tetras ?

yeah i think so but it depends on the bettas temperament and if the neons nip or not, but whilst ive kept them, they've never fin nipped to my knowledge

Well i guess a feisty betta would be better ? that way they she will stick up for herself if they do decide to fin nip.

i wanted a shoal of neons and about 5/6 galaxy rasboras. i have just pimped the tank so it would be nice to get some other decent fish in :D

how big is the tank? single female bettas can be as aggressive as males, if you supply lots of plants, and caves, and keep an eye on the betta, you should be ok, but a feistier one may bully the neons to death.

yeah, but those 4 were having the aggression spread amongst them, and the female on its own has no one to take out its aggression on, except the neons.

yeah, really it would depend on the female, if calm you might get away with it, if aggressive i wouldn't even try personally

all but one of my female bettas live in a 29 gallon, 6 or 7 female bettas with 1 molly, 1 platy, 5 gold tetras and assorted small corys. the tetras play with the tetras, the bettas play with the bettas. the tetras and bettas 100% ignore each other.

the only thing the female bettas have ever done is throughly check out the corys. they were not aggresive at all, just eyeballed them a lot. I think they expected them to be very ugly bettas.
