Female Krib Eating Eggs.

Hello,I have a pair of kribensis cichlids that ive had now for maybe 2months+.They are both relativly young i presume judging on their size of around 2"male 1.5"female.She has layed eggs twice since ive had her in a little rock cave ive made,ive got 3 dither fish for the male to take his aggression on and feed with live food flakes etc,i feel as a beginner they are both happy confident and well,however it confuses me why she leaves her eggs for usually 2 days then eats them all.Is it something i,m doing wrong are they too young?Ive been told by my local pet shop that 3rd time lucky maybe.CAN YOU HELP PLEASE ?

if they are young, they maybe going through a few trial runs and getting things right.
the eggs may have been infertile and she is eating them to regain the protein contained in them, to use for the next time!!
