Just to add to my last post, when using treatment, if you add a bit of aquarium salt, it will boost the medication

here is what the petstore sold me as a female guppy, its not exact pic but its the closest i have seen.

it's 23274643624789643% male!

No garuntee at my lfs i mainly go to, although p@h do a 7 day garuntee (but you can understand why in thier conditions

Your experience is one reason why I avoid lfs.

Not only do they often not know what they're talking about, but often their fish are genetically weak with little resistance to disease and are more expensive than whst you pay to get them from an experienced private breeder.

My advice: Try eBay.

Yeah, Im 13 and a skilled aquarist. It gets pretty easy after a while. although my friends think im weird for it though lol

Wait guys, you can't say if their fish is a female or not. The picture they showed wasn't theirs. Original poster, you can't tell a guppy's sex solely by the way its coloring is. Finding a picture that looks like yours doesn't count.

that is a male, because of the more faned out tail and the modified anal fin.

Male guppies have a lot more color than females, infact most females have no color on thier body at all where males do.
