When a female is not pregnant is the normal color of where the gravid spot would be suppose to be a reddish tint? Or does this mean something is wrong with her? She just got done being pregnant like a week and a half ago I unfortently left her in the tank and I think she either aborted most the babies or they got eaten by the males and her as I only got 1 baby out of her alive that is currently growing strong. Was curious if maybe the males nipped her too much and she got injured back there from them.

It is very seldom (if ever) that you find a female guppy that is not pregnant...... (if she's been with a male within the previous 2 to 3 months,..... chances are 95% that she will be pregnant)....

The gravid spot turns to a reddish tint (as you describe it) directly after she delivered her batch, and stays like that for up to 4/5 days before it starts turning black again with the new brood developing in her..... she should deliver again some 26 to 28 days later (depending on the water temp).

It seems likely that your female did deliver, and the fry was eaten (not only by the other male, but by her as well) You need plenty hiding space for the babies if you intend keeping any.
