Female Crowntail

I have just got a female crowntail to add to my betta sorority tank. I am not a big fan of crowntails and have only had one before and she died mysteriuously after a few days. I wouldnt have got her but I saw her head poking out from under an almond leaf and recognised her as having been there for some time. I am one of those people who ends up having all the unwanted ordinary fish that dont seem to sell because I feel sorry for them (more fool me).
Any way she is very small and kind of bendy in the middle. Is she normal? My last one was tiny and died.

I have a crowntail female betta she is tiny like yours and quite bendy so i think they could be sisters [jk] but I've had her for 4 months and she is doing fine I think yours will too
