Oops Pheonixbaby I replied just after you...so kinda said the same thing.

Although not an expert....tetra tend to be fin nippers....I rescued a betta from LFS he was in a tank full of tetra and he had very short fins....so much so...I thought it was a female...!

My betta eats flakes and enjoys the odd bloodworm too....and I also have some floating betta food which he also enjoys.!

Yeah ive been told putting em in with tetras is a 50/50 gamble, if they do pick on him i'll put him in another tank. I wont see him get bullied honest.

so as for feeding..... he'll be ok with the flakes til next weekend when i'll drive so nearest shop n see what goodies they've got thats suitable

BTW... this is my first betta (obviously) and he seems to spend alot of him time sitting around on things and not swimming, is this normal behaiviour? Ive only had him in the tank for a couple of hrs mind you

my male sd is a lazy ass, and does not alot lol where as my male pk is always on the move lol

yeah thats fine till u get some goodies :D
