Feeding Time

Thanks everyone.

The fish getting the sprats are juvenile jaguar cichlids.

The tanks are
80gal mixed
40gal planted
40 gal (long) grow out tank(not sure what im keeping yet).

As for Knifey, please anyone that wants to keep them they need loads of swimming space, I am giving mine away to a friend as hes really too big for my tank(hes going into a 180gal).

Kewl thanx. ill have to check em out.

pick my new 180G tank up this wknd and apart from an oscar and a BGK when i get one i dont have a clue what to put in it.

Are BGKs hard to get hold of?

Not really but if you already have an oscar you will need to find one thats already quite large if its not to become a snack for the O.To be honest I know I keep mine with large cichlids but if I was to advise people I would advise against it.Saying that mine lived with some large oscars in a friends tank for a brief period.

Oscar's tend to grow quickly in the first yr, then slow right down after that and take a while to get to full size. Don't know about BGK tho

Knifey grew reaonably quick about 1" every few months but slowed down at about 8"
