Feeding Platy Fry

Hi all,

This morning when cleaning my tank I noticed three baby platys. I’ve made a temporary fry trap by cutting holes into a plastic bottle, and floating it in the tank. I’ve ordered a proper solution which should arrive over the next few days.

I’m wondering what the best thing to feed them is? I have Hikari micro pellets at present, as well as some flake food. Would these do if crushed up?

Newly hatched brineshrimp, microworms and powdered dry food.

My platy had fry a few months ago and I ground up flake food to dust and fed them that. 11 out of 13 fry made it to adults.

As mentioned, ground up quality flake food works fine for livebearer fry. Just rub a pinch between your index finger and thumb.
