Feeding My Fries

Hello, today i had fries for the first time and i have some doubts about how to feed them.
1)how many times should i feed them a day? (with the other fishes i normally feed them once a day)
2)i have a kind of smashed food for fries. is that good enough?
3)i have my fries inside a fish net. good or bad?

The fry can be kept in a breeder net for a while as they get larger. It will allow water to circulate nicely and help keep their water clean. Livebearer fry can be fed the same food as their parents if you crush a little of it between your fingertips. You will want to feed the fry several times each day if you can, but only a small feeding each time. Frequent water changes also help promote growth in new fry.

what about my other fishes? should i feed them with low quantities but more times a day?

The adults don't need to be fed as often because they can eat enough each time. The fry have such a small stomach they cannot eat enough for the day so they need to be fed smaller amounts more often.

Fry have very fast motablisms, which is why they need feeding more frequent, 3-5 (7 if you have time) times a day is fine, crushed flake, crushed pellets, crushed protein foods are all fine.. if you can get hold of some baby brine shrimp eggs and hatch them, this is very good for the fry.

Adults dont need feeding as much due to has they get older, thier motablisms slow down, so normal feedinf 3 times a day is fine for them.

i use liquifry and finly crushed flakes and micro worm u dont need to use all these but i find my fry grow faster and look great of liquifry

i feed mines crushed flake only but i find they do not grow fast. i am going on 5 months and they are still the sizeof a gain of rice.. NOT GOOD!

also i recommend you place them in a spare tank with heater & filter because that will also help them grow when there is much more space and also, i find leaving hemin breeders food tends to remain.
