I have a tank of small juvenile mbuna cichlids, right now I am feeding them a cichlid flake, along with an occasional spirulina pellet and mysis shrimp no more than once a week. I'm wondering if there is anything else I should include? I'm new to mostly herbivore fish.

Freeze zucchini in spears then thaw and throw that in the tank. Take it out after a few hours though. Or if they are larger then an inch I tend to put it in fresh never frozen and anchor it down(well! they try to dislodge it and are pros at that lol). When fresh like that you can put it in there in the morning then take out whats left of it before you go to bed. It also seems to offer entertainment for them. I always clip one then use a rubber plant anchor for another and bury that one partially in the sand. One in particular spends hours studying and biting at the clip itself to try to undo it.. when  that fails he bites all the way across the clipped part till the zucchini is free haha
