I have peacock gudgeons that recently reproduced and almost all the eggs have a black dot, meaning they are live... But here is the issue... I'm leaving on a vacation for about 4 days (including the day leaving and day coming home) in less than a week and I'm afraid that they may hatch and I cant give them proper care like food and such... Any ideas???

Someone on here took their corydoras fry on holiday with them. And they were camping iirc!!!
Yah, I cant take these guys with me... Any ideas though on what to do?

Not really, I haven't had fish breed since I had livebearers years and years ago, they were easy to feed.
Pet sitter? Dried leaves to supply infusoria?

Did you look at @AbbeysDad 's live foods article?

No, I actually haven't and I cant get a pet sitter sadly... I may be able to do dried leaves but how do I prepare them and what type of leaves? Thank you for trying to help!

indian almond leaves you could order online. Check ebay, you can get large packs for $10.
Oh awesome! Thanks! These can just be added directly too the tank right? And will it produce enough food for the fry in the main tank?

You should be able to, they might be dusty and you might want to rinse them. They’ll release tannins. I’m not sure if it will provide enough food. I do see a potential problem… while you are gone, your fish will not be fed. Lil baby fish will look awfully appetizing…

I was thinking about that... Hopefully They can hide while I'm gone... They will play a deadly game of hide and seek lol... But I will just do a heavy feeding before leaving

The black dots in a fish egg are usually the eyes, these eggs must be about ready to hatch, they take 8-10 days. That means they must have been laid about a week ago! If the eggs were newer than that they would just be opaque.

@itiwhetu... I will be gone on Friday of next week... My vaca is then... I can't be here to care for them... What do I do!? I leave on Thursday and then return sunday...

I don't know I have never been in that situation. Just let nature take care of them, if they are meant to survive, they will be there when you get back.
