I don't know I have never been in that situation. Just let nature take care of them, if they are meant to survive, they will be there when you get back.
Welp, I guess I will do a large WC before leaving and then also do an over feed when we leave... And then pray lol

I did say a while ago when Rocky first thought about these fish that they like to spawn in the tiniest of spaces; spaces so small it seems impossible for the male and female to fit inside together :)

Oh yah, they did... I thought you meant like a very small cave... Which still would have been impressive but this is like... Wait... How... What... I have no idea how the male gets in and yet alone how the female did her thing...

Never overfed your fish tank, the fish will only eat what they can eat, the rest will just rot.
My snails will get an extra snack... I in fact feed the snails a ton of pellets sometimes and their all gone in one night

To be honest, they will survive if left for a couple of days without food. But in general, in each tank there will be food left on the bottom. Food that even we don't get to see that well.
But hey, there are also feeding devices you can use when you're absent.

I recently bought a net breeder that goes inside the tank. That way if they do hatch before the trip (or after), I can move them into the net breeder and stuff some baby java ferns in there with the roots... It will give a place to hide and the baby ferns will possibly have enough food for them. I also have a few decaying fern leaves I can put in there! Thank you for the information! The eggs almost ALL seem full and ready the last time I checked... Maybe I will check them today... I have to move the rock anyway cause I think when I moved it on Friday it messed up the nest and where the male goes...

Add lots of live aquatic plants and increase lighting to 16 hours a day. The plants will have some microscopic organisms on them and they will provide some food for the babies. If the water goes green from single celled algae, the babies will eat that.

Don't add anything else. Some might survive, others won't. The fish will breed again in a few weeks time and you can focus on rearing up those.

How do I do waterchanges without removing them from the breeder box? And 16hrs of lighting??? That seems like a lot of light... Especially for low light fish. Sorry, I'm a question asker. Also look at the post when I quoted you in that 2.5g tank thread please.

Put a plastic container in the tank and lift it up under the breeder box so the box and fry are kept in water. Move them in their container of water to somewhere safe. Water change the main tank and then put the babies back.

16 hours of light will encourage algae to grow and can be reduced when you get back.

That's a good idea! I will just have to find a container... I just changed settings on the light to be shorter a few days ago 😂... Looks like I will be messing with the light AGAIN 😅

So, what is happening are they wiggling, show us some photos.
I dont think so... I'm about to check the tank. I cant show any pics because of the way they are positioned in the cave... Its really hard to see them in person so its just not worth the time to take a pic... But when they hatch and come out I'll take a photo.

My gudgeons laid eggs on a sort of tiny stalk. Every day the male sucked the eggs one by one into his mouth then spat it out again, still attached to the cave by the stalk. Then one day he sucked the eggs into his mouth but instead of spitting the egg out, he spat a fry out of the cave. Where they were eaten by the other fish :( That's the trouble with a community tank, lots of fish just waiting for a tasty snack.
