Hi

I've read many different views on feeding your betta's, 2 to 3 pellets 3 to 4 times a day, as much as they can eat in two minutes, etc etc...

I dont want to overfeed my betta's nor do i want to starve them so can anyone say how many, say "hikari betta bio-gold" for example, would be a sensible amount to be feeding?

Also, when feeding frozen bloodworm, haow many of those each?

Thanks guys :)

as snooks said
but i tend too feed... shrimp, frozen brine shrimp and they love daphina...
they have a break once a week..

i feed mine 3 hikari pellets 2 times a day. the size of your fish does alter this slightly... just take note if they are getting a bit chubby and adjust accordingly :)

For my Females, I give them 6 pellets a day (only because there are five of them.)

My males get two a day, no more. Every weekend, I will give them some peas for a snack.
this is an example to take note of water temperature, fish size, and regular feeding habit. depending on the circumstances, some fish will be fed more or less..... it's a judgement call, but you can use the standard feeding norm as a rule of thumb. i have no doubt 2 pellets per fish per day could be sufficient.

on a side note, 2 pellets a day seems a bit on the "scarce" side to me.

Haku and Kakashi won't eat more than four pellets a day, if my sister happens to feed them. (she always overfeeds, which is why I have to do a lot of water changes.) It may be because I don't have them heated just yet, working on raising the money, but it's never more then that.

If I still only fed my bettas pellets...
I give them 3-4 twice a day.. so that would be 6-8 total per day.

As for blood worm.... I really don't count how much they get. My females just get whatever I dump into their side. Maybe about 4-6 a piece.
My guys.. I'd say they get about 5 or 6 each.
