Ohio Fish Rescue is trying to keep two Arapaimas together in their world famous converted indoor swimming pool. I noticed in the vid a no-no,they hadn't fed the huge resident Arapaima to his fill when they put the not even half sized new Arapaima. A no-no as the big guy took a bite out of the little guys fin.
One thing I learned is when adding new fish to a status quo set up of aggressive fish? FEED THEM FIRST. Give them that summer picnic bloated stomach feel. That helps them to at least leave the new fish alone for the first few hours.
So to get your big cichlids to leave your new fish alone..feed them..lots first!
