Im always well over stocked but im very experienced, my maintenence is second to none, im over filtered and ive never had a single water problem or fish death (and i keep some notoriously fussy and dificult fish!). not saying everyone can get away with it but i keep large messy meat eaters overstocked (quite considerably) and water is peerrrrfect!
In my opinion ur tank isnt too bad, good number of cories wich is nice to see. maybe a single gourami could work as a feature fish, pearl gourami maybe? maybe get an extra filter to cope with the stocking!
The 1inch per gallon rule is just a rough guide and not a very good one, it doesnt take into account how much and how often you feed, the fish's diet and metabloism, filtration and many other factors.
Just added up, i have 260 inches of fish in 120 gallons! Cant wait for my 800+ gallon beast!
