Feather Duster Question

Hey, I bought a feather duster yesterday and while putting it in the tank I accidentially hit the tip of it against a rock. Now the opening if folded in on itself and there is no opening. I have obviously damaged it but my question is will if heal itself and open or will it just die due to the opening of the worm being damaged?

The worm should be able to push it out on it's own. If not seen for a few days, I might be tempted to CAREFULLY unblock it, but, I would wait. SH

I wouldn't worry at all - mine close up like that quite often, makes me wonder how they can get out again but they do.

There's a good chance the opening was closed up like that before you caught the rock anyway.

Some can close like that. Ive seen several of mine with a softer opening collapse their mouth willingly and then re-emerge after the perceived threat has gone. Id wait it out as SH suggested, only after a few days would I attempt to remove any blockage very carefully.

thanks very much for the reply's, I'll keep and eye on it. there doesn't seem to be any blockage which is good so hopefully it comes out!
