So what's your fav animal and why?

Mine truely has to be the cat. Cats are so independent and peaceful. There are kids at school who say they absolutely HATE cats and they think little chiuaua dogs are just the best! Cats scratch blabababaa. I don't see how they could say that. My kitty is just the dearest thing EVER and yet, she's the most soothing thing you could have around the house. We love our Zoey. She comforts us and most of all, she's helpful to release our stress. She's the only cat we have around, and we could NEVER part from her. I wish we had like 2 more cats, but oh well, our Zoey is the little worker around the house!

She's just a plain Russian Blue mix, but still.. she's our one that we LOVE.

She was adorable when she was a kitten. Now just think 4 years later, some cat that patrols the house and yard.

If I were to have one pet, it'd be the cat. Of course, I'm a cat person myself.

I love cats too - my 13 year old is a real terror, though; she'll be a cuddly purring fluff ball one second, and then try to claw your arm off the next XD She rules the neighbourhood as well, even the local dogs know to keep clear of her

I'd have to say dogs are my favourites Big dogs especially, seeing as I grew up with German Shepherds and Labradors. I'd love my own G.S one day!

I like GS as well!! the pure black ones give me the feeling if I ever have one, it's like having a mini-wolf.

I respect that people enjoy cats and there are things that I like about them too. However, I believe something evil lurks inside each and every one. It's thing that see yours feet hanging of the end of the bed when you sleep and tells them it's a good idea to latch their claws into them. For that reason I will never have cats. Growing up my mom kept about 5 cats all the time. Some were better than others. At some point though, everyone one of them attacked me in my sleep.

My favorite animal was my Dalmatian Molly. She lived for 14 years with me from my childhood till I got married and she died about two years ago. We would hike all over the mountains and she was the most friendly pet I've ever owned. I've had quite a few pets. Growing up me and mom were a safe-house for abused and neglected animals, everything from horses to cats, even pigs.

My favorite pet now is my Great Pyrenees Samson. He is 145 pounds of fun and the most gentle and protective dog with my new born baby. The only thing I would change about him is the slobber!

Domestic wise, although I like cats, I am most definitely a dog person. I can't imagine not ever having one by my side.
Exotic wise, has to be sloths. Coolest critters, ever!

my GSD is mostly black and he is my baby, however a do love cats and the challenges they give me, tameing a feral is very rewarding

@TrainRek77 Unfortunately, our pet companions don't last forever. THat's the bad thing about pets. They are with us for years and then they pass.
LOL yeah, only if dogs wouldn't slobber! It's one thing my mother doesn't like. She always comes up with understandable excuses for not wanting a dog in the house: "You guys, they slobber. And you know how much they'll do that in the summer hear. Don't think you'll be wantin' to mop it up every 5 minutes."


@Flute I wish I had a dog by my side at all times. Cats are great pets, yes. I love mine dearly. I see something in a a dog that I don't see in a cat. I can't say what exactly, but I just feel it. My mom says if we dont' have a dog in the house, everything would go smoother. In our case, yes, I think she's right.
