Hi guys, Below is a photo.

20140324_213356.jpg

Over the past few days this guy has got fatter and fatter, I've also noticed stringy, clear poo coming from them. Something that suggests internal parasites?

Someone suggested trying Fluke Solve and was wondering if I should try it or anything else.

How many gallons is the tank please?
How many fish and which type?
Water stats in ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, and ph?
What do you feed your fish?
Is the fish still eating?
Is the anus enlarged or red and inflamed?
Are scales starting to stick out?
Can the fish maintain balance in the water?
Does the fish rest of bottom of tank, or plants?
Does the fish turned upside down?
Does the fish look pale, or darker in colour?

For now I would tryed some shelled peas.
Epson salt baths to help draw the fluids out.

48 Gallon tank
Around 30 card tetras, 6 corys, 1 BN plec, 2 groumis
Water stats, Can't say as I normally never keep a testing kit unless I have an issue which lately has never happened.
I feed my fish small pellets, flakes, frozen and live foods. Mainly the pellets and flakes, Frozen/live on rare days.
I do not believe the anus is.
I don't see any pinecone or anything like that.
Fish is fine balanced wise, Pretty active.
Does not rest, Mainly follows around the other big fish.
Has not turned upside down.
It does look slightly pale I would say.

Don't feed the fish for a few days. Only shelled peas. Daphnia also good, but frozen or live. Not freeze dried.
The only other thing you could try is the epsom salt baths.

No lumps or bumps beneath the skin, or on top of skin?

Not that I see at the moment. Just the fat belly, Even at both sides.

Will not feed for a good few days and see how it goes. Thank you Wilder and nice to see you back!

Good Luck.
If any changes don't hesitate to post back on your thread.

Nice to see you aswell. I remember you.

Gouramis often should be fed more vegs (peas as Wilder suggested, blanched lettuce and spinach).
These symptoms are often a "diet-thing"
Variated food !!!

Well today I think its lost half the weight it had before meaning as the above said, Diet. Overfeeding and greedy thing is  possible however some of the scales around where he/she was larger are a different colour and am not sure if there poking out or not.

Doesn't seem to clever T. Scales poking out could be linked to Dropsy but I'm sure you know that! :)

What colour are the scales?
The scales might start to fall back in place now she lost her bloating. Hopefully.

Terrible photo

Maybe it was just the light but they look okay now, The blue guy keeps making a bubble nest though, Wont stop :p

Its hard to see in the photo but am fairly sure she has lost a lot of weight since yestarday.

Bless her
Just maybe a slight bit of bloating left. Just keep an eye on her scales.

Thank you wilder, Will keep not feeding for a few more days, see how it goes.
