Fancy A Change...

Hi,

Just been ebaying and I now fancy transforming my tank into a Discus tank...
My tank is 6ft long (450+ Litres) and currently stocked up with a mix of cichlids, rocks, wood and sand.

Does anyone have much experience of setting up a Discus tank? Does it have to be heavily planted or can I stick with smooth rocks and just a few plants?

I would also, eventually, like to breed them )

Any help would be very much appreciated!

They like live plants, and they help with water quality. Rocks aren't very natural for them, a few as an accent are okay though. Driftwood is ideal for them. A nice big piece of driftwood can really make the look of a tank.

What other fish are you wanting to put in with them?
