Hi ive just bought a new external filter

it has 2 layers for filter media

What can or should i fill it with

can some1 plz tell me things i can put in it . Thanks v much

I'm not 100% sure what you mean, but I know you can add anything from charcoal to clay pieces to limestone to it, depending on what you want to accomplish.
Is there something particular you are wanting the filter to be able to do?
