I'm a girl.
One lucky shot of the exodons. Just got a new camera, so they are no longer blurs.

Thanks veil. They are definitely not quiet during feeding time... there is a lot of splashing and frenzied feeding going on!Excellent sot, for exodons. They look like silent killers.![]()
There are 11 in total in a 55gl aquarium. I originally bought 10, but one sneaked into the bag, so I ended up with 11.Beautiful, the best fish I've ever owned, I'm sure you'd be inclined to agree.
How big is the tank and how many do you have?
Nice shots btw, they all look relatively the same size, that must be nice, I have mixed sizes. I have 3-4 full grown ones that bully (moreso than normal exo behaviour) the smaller guys, so I ordered a dozen more in hopes of dissipating the aggression a little. I'll take pics when I get em
Your fish are lovely btw, nice shot, I know how hard it is to capture them lol
They are expensive around here, but I got lucky one day and found them really cheap (don't remember the price now). I was debating whether or not to get them, like you, but the right deal came up and I couldn't pass it up.I like exodons, they always seemed active and the video's on youtube really show shoaling behaviour. I was thinking about exodons, but would have been to expensive for me to get a decent sized shoal, there like anything from £5-£8 each where I can get them.
What are you feeding them on?
Mine are around 3 inches, so I figured they would be full grown.Nice job on the pictures, Exodons are the hardest fish i've ever tried to photograph.
When you say "full grown" how big are they? They still look pretty small compared to my 4-5 year old specimins which are chunky 3 and a half inch fish, i think yours may still have a bit of growth left in them.
They're great fish that have the personality of a pack of piranhas.never heard of them before but now interested as I like the look/sound of them

Mine are around 3 inches, so I figured they would be full grown.I've only had them since November of last year and they seem to be extremely fast growing, but have seemed to stop.
One question: Some of mine have elongated filaments on their tails. Do any of yours have this? I haven't found any information about it and just figured it might be a way to tell the difference between the sexes.![]()
The picture was taken at an angle, which is probably why the size is distorted. I assure you that they are definitely 3", especially the brute at the bottom of the picture.Nice job on the pictures, Exodons are the hardest fish i've ever tried to photograph.

I can't say ive noticed any filiments but mine are always quite ragged from nipping at each other anyway.
They look smaller than 3 inches but i guess there is nothing to compare them to to get an size perspective, apperently wild Exodons reach sbout 6 inches so there could be some growth still to come.
