Okay ive taken my halfbeak back nto the store as im convinced it nipped all my guppies (at first i thought it was my clown loach but everyone says it cant possibly be them...even though ive seen them chase some of the fish). I took the halfbeak outta the tank 2 days ago and havent seen any nipped fins since
The ones that got nipped were moved into a lil hospital tank, being treated with melafix.
Now, yesterday i saw a lil juvi guppy with what i thought was fungus(not cottony like the pics but just looks white...possibly fin rot?) and moved it into the hospital tank. Moved it back today as it was gone. Now a female has the same looking thing in the fin at the top of her body and now another juvis got it...is it fungus?
Im treating the whole tank with melafix now after doing a water change today as a few neons and stuff have lil nips. And one of my striata loaches looks as though one of his gills have been taken off...its an open wound! Could this be a result of cutting himself on slate or sumint? Will melafix clear thsi and what i think is fungus? If not, shall i add some protozin as that says it treats fungus? COuld both meds be used at once?
