Evergreen Sprigs In Tanks For Colour

How about putting sprigs or bigger into a tank for colour. I have quite a bushy tree and could in theory create variuos shapes/scapes with them?

IMO Evergreens have a very strong smell which probably has something to do with the sap? I didn't much like being pushed through it as a kid so I'm not sure fishes will want to swim through it either. My money's on no, to be on the safe side.

Or it might turn out to be a super new algae treatment suitable for all \o/ :fun:
 
No, never put anything from any evergreen in your tank. The resin is really bad for fish, even if it's long dead.
 
As said above, there's a reason why not a lot grows under evergreen trees.
