Ever Been On Live Chat?

Well? I know its generally only the 'Chat Crowd' on there, with a few people popping on, then running away from us... And sometimes there's the breeding population of numpties, but we have pest control in now

If you han't noticed, it's either the link up the top (next to Help and Search) or www.fishforums.net/chat , or if you use an IRC client, its #fishforums. So vote, n visit too. Around 6/7pm GMT is often best, but theres a nice crowd at the moment.

It has never worked for me. It would be nice if they could use something else than java because I'm not allowed to down load programs or anything.But I think I have java, how do you tell if you have it or not?

Nope, I've never checked it out before. From what I have heard its a very scary place where the people never talk about fish and are just mental. Not a place I'd like to hang out to be very honest ... and I can't blame others for not wanting to either!!

How exactly does it not work? What happens when you click the link? Even if you don't have it, you'll be fine downloading Java, its a big name, they won't want to put viruses in it.

I have AOL 9.0 optimized. When I click on the link it has a pic of a coffee mug then there is a X in the left hand corner. So there is no chance of a virus or spy ware, does it leave a cookie (record that you downloaded it)?

The only way to get Java and be sure it's not full of viri & spyware is to get it directly from Sun's site.

I have never used live chat, I must say I do not like nasty/ derisive/and generally scary comments so I have been a wus and never risked it!

The only way to get Java and be sure it's not full of viri & spyware is to get it directly from Sun's site.

I use it when I am on the computer. Its a quite scary place - people deop you from your channel... But fun to spend time on. BTW feeshy only a smiley and no text is spaming.

I only wish I could find a way to stay awake 24 hours a day instead of just the usual 18 and also to persuade my boss that I can work from home...(sigh)
