Evening all,

I'm 5 weeks in to keeping tropical fish for the 2nd time.. This time I decided to go for a fluval edge.
After cycling the tank for 2 weeks I added 3 Danios (after reading this forum)I've since added 3 Cory's.

My tank has developed a brown/green algea, which the cory's seem to quite enjoy but looks a bit unsightly.

is this normal? Do I leave the tank as is? or water change and scrub the stones, the algea is not on the glass.

thanks

Try reducing the amount of time you leave the tank lights on for and yes I would scrub the algae, it can be harmfull in some cases

Thanks for the replies  I'll leave it a while before adding anything else, the fish that are in the tank seem quite happy though
