Hello, I've had my 2nd batch of endlers (I think their roughly 1-2 months old) I can already sex them, one is a male and 2 are females, is this normal for a 2 month old livebearer to be sexed at such and early age? Their still pretty small but he defintately has a gonopodium.. while the 2 other fish have normal fan shaped fins (females) Has anyone else been able to sex their livebearers this early in age?

It is not typical of many common livebearers, but is not at all unusual in endlers. They take all of the livebearer characteristics and shorten the time required for each stage. It includes the fact that they often die of old age at not much more than a year old. If there was ever a case of burning the candle at both ends, it is the typical endler.

My platys i can't tell the sex of them at that age,but my guppy juvi's i am being able to sex them around 2 months old :)

Oh, ok! Thanks oldman! I was just wondering as it's my first time with endlers.
